The research process is to help you plan ahead, find what you are looking for, revise your work, and present/share the information you found.
STEP 1- PLANNING
-Select a topic; focus/narrow the topic.
-Select/locate and evaluate resources.
STEP 2- DRAFTING
-Record and organize information.
-Cite sources.
STEP 3- REVISING
-Check draft product & revise by using feedback.
STEP 4- EDITING
-Prepare for presentation & final product.

Research Guides
These are resources (books, websites, databases, citation information, etc) that members of the learning community have compiled to help you succeed in your school work. This means your very own teachers, media specialists, and resources from other schools have put together because they know exactly what you will need to find and on what you will be graded.

These are databases that the county has paid for for your use. You may access them at home as well. Please see your teacher or media specialist for log in information.

MLA Citation Information
MLA is the citation format that you should be using, unless your teacher has told you otherwise.
Some things to remember:
- Citations should be left adjusted.
- The second line of a citation should be indented (this is opposite of how a paragraph is formatted).
- Citations should be in alphabetical order.
